BeFriender ministry is a way of being church with and for one another. It is a way to provide a listening presence to others; to offer spiritual and emotional care; to provide an opportunity for those who are befriended to make choices and grow.
Welcome
BeFrienders is a group of trained, lay pastoral care members of St. John the Evangelist. Everyone at times is on a difficult journey and needs a caring companion who will listen, empathize and be a reminder of their caring faith community. BeFrienders provide care through a listening presence to anyone experiencing illness, stress of care-giving, divorce or separation, death of a loved one, job loss, depression or other stressful life experiences.
