    • Welcome

      Julie Richards
      Liturgist/Musician

Perhaps you have promised yourself that one of these days you'd take that step and become a member of one of our choirs. Perhaps you have said, "I'll join next season, for sure!" Next season is here!

There is no better time than the present! Take a look at our choir descriptions and schedules and find the choir that's right for you!  Contact Julie at jrichards@stjohndavison.org or call 810-658-1135.

    • Adopt an Anthem

Did you know that it is possible to Adopt an Anthem? The special music sung by our choirs is regularly adopted by a person or a group of persons who agree to finance the expense of the music. All adopted music is labeled and when it is sung, the choir remembers that person or event in a special way. Music can be adopted in memory of a deceased relative or friend, in thanksgiving for the birth of a child, to commemorate a wedding anniversary or any special event in anyone’s life. People can even adopt an anthem as a gift to another person (a unique Christmas gift idea). Typical costs for an anthem for the Celebration Choir is $100.00, while a piece of music for our Faith Ringers averages around $25.00.

These Celebration Choir Anthems are presently available:

Come To Us, Emmanuel – our opening Hymn for the upcoming season of Advent
Orthodox Chant Lamb of God – used at various times throughout the Church year
Angels’ Carol (Rutter) – a Christmas anthem
Let Us Worship the Lord (Tate) - A hymn of praise to God who makes all things new.
Rejoice Jerusalem! (Gouin)- A Christmas anthem.

We have many handbell pieces available as well, including:

Turnings – A piece for general use.
Largo –from Symphony No. 9 (Dvoƙák)
